Research from REES has been put forward and included in the new standard BS 8001:2017 “Framework for implementing the principles of the circular economy in organizations – Guide”.
Last week the first standard on Circular Economy was launched in Britain. It is called BS 8001:2017 “Framework for implementing the principles of the circular economy in organizations – Guide”. It first of its kind and have been developed by the British standards Institution (BSI).
Research from the Mistra REES researchers Mattias Lindahl, Tomohiko Sakao and Erik Sundin from Linköping University, Sweden was put forward and used in the standard on page 66-67. This shows that our research is useful to companies and organizations, and it is a great recognition to be a part of standards.
