Chairman of the Board
Ola Alterå is Chief Executive of the Swedish Climate Policy Council. In 2017 he led the first commission of enquiry on policies for a Circular Economy set up by the Swedish Government. Mr Alterå served as State Secretary in the Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications during 2006-2010. He has held several senior positions in the field of sustainable industrial development, both in government and private sector, among them CEO of the Swedish Association of District Heating and representative of UNIDO, United Nations Industrial Development Organization, for Kenya.

Elinor Kruse has an Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Since 2016 Elinor is focused on Circular Economy - creating a new value in business. Elinor has a wide network in the industry both in Sweden and in Europe. She is the Chair the Sustainable Environment Working Group within Orgalim, which is the umbrella association of European Engineering industries. This includes leading the strategic discussion and initiating political positions for the European technology industry. Elinor is also active in innovation and research besides MISTRA REES through the Swedish Strategic Innovation Programme RE:Source, where she is chair of the steering committee.

Lena Westerholm is Global Sustainability Manager for Robotics & Discrete Automation and also Head of Sustainability Affairs ABB Sweden. Lena joined ABB Corporate Research in year 2000 and has a long experience from leading the various areas of sustainability within the company.

His research as an economist is focused on developing strategies on the energy transition, climate mitigation and resource efficiency in Germany and internationally. He is former President of the Wuppertal Institute/ Germany and he served in many high-level German and international expert commissions. He is full member of the Club of Rome and he received the Environmental Award of Germany (2014) and the Gothenburg Award (2016). He published 20 books and more than 200 articles. Currently, he is Co-Chair of the German Japanese Energy Transition Council.
