Last week our researchers Erik Sundin, Johan Vogt Duberg, Mattias Lindahl and Tomohiko Sakao attended the CIRP Life Cycle Engineering conference in New Brunswick, USA.

Johan Vogt Duberg presented how OEMs can frame remanufacturing initiations and showed practical examples of critical areas for successful initiations, and a general 5-step approach for initiating remanufacturing.

M.Sc. student Emma Ahlstedt presented her thesis work as a conference research paper co-authored with her supervisor Erik Sundin. The paper was about supporting Atlas Copco Industrial Technique in setting up remanufacturing for a type of assembly tool. This research has a design perspective and was based on existing guidelines and interview data.
