Mistra REES researcher Leonidas Milios has a new article in the journal Environmental Policy and Governance, that looks at the potential role for public policy in supporting product life extension in five industrial sectors in Sweden. Based on interviews and questionnaires, a set of policies that could support product life extension are identified; including both-economy-wide and sector-specific  policies. Based on the results, an overarching policy framework is proposed, including wide cross‐sectoral policy measures, such as (1) public procurement, (2) increased provision and access to information and (3) government leadership, setting mandatory re‐use targets.
